“We’re honored to accept the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce Community Service Award,” said Jeff Vienneau, Poland Spring® Community Liaison. “Whether its supporting high school seniors through our Good Science scholarships or first responders with charitable donations, we are committed to giving back to the communities it serves.”

The Poland Spring® Brand was recognized for its Good Science Scholarship program which has awarded more than $301,000 in scholarships to Maine high school graduates since 2008. Over the past two decades, Poland Spring has invested more than $14.5 million in direct grants to local and statewide causes which include schools, non-profits, fire and rescue teams, and environmental conservation organizations.

Recently, Poland Spring® supported the City of Lewiston on the purchase of nearly 140 new ballistic vests for first responders and fire departments in six Maine communities after a mass shooting that claimed the lives of 18 people.

Two other organizations were recognized for Business of the Year and the Chamber Excellence Award.
